Hey again all. Been awhile since I've stopped in. Incredibly busy.

I have a question to throw your way. I have a buddy that asked me for advice on his 97 Corolla. The doors have mounts for 4" speakers. He wants to know whether he should go with 4" component sets, or if It might be possible to fit some 5-1/4" in there. I took a quick look, looked like it would be possible but not fun. I can't think of a time I've done 4" component sets, was looking for opinions. Anyone have any experience here, either with 4" component sets or putting 5-1/4's in? (BTW, running off a Kenwood deck)

Also, if anyone can help me...I can't for the life of me remeber the site that has the thousands of pics of installs of like every model car you can think of. Can anyone help me? They're all member made pages, I can't remeber. Thanks!

Try fitting 5 1/4" comps in there and if need be cut into the black baffle that the OEM speaker mounts to so you can fit larger speakers in the spot.

I agree with Jeff totally. If you have the tools and time to perform a little surgery on the doors, it would probably suite your soundscape more vividly in the mid/mid bass area to substitute 5 1/4 components for 4".

Also, there are many sites out there offering installation pics and tips. You can do a search at any engine for custom car audio installations or maybe try www.streetdreams.com
