hello all-new to this site-i,m in the process of building a system in a euro 98 bmw m3 and need a little help along the way

i have a eclipse 8061 with a balanced line adaptor-basically does this boost the hu output to 16v if so am i right in saying that i need an amp that can take 16v input sens-as i can see most are 8v input-what amps do you recommend -i,m looking at a jl 500/1 to run my jl 12w6v2 sub-it only takes 8v but the spec sounds good-anything else you guys may recommend

hope someone can help as its doing my poor brain in:errr:
