Does anyone know the size of the factory sub in a 04 Expedition.  It looks like an 8", but I am not for sure.

Thanks wheelerdr.  It looks a little bigger than a six.  The truck had the 5 1/4 component set in the front doors with a 6 disc changer in the dash.  It is the premium system.  Don't know if that makes a difference.

Anyone else??

with a lil coaxing you can stuff a 10" in there.  Forget what the factory was, ,i believe it was an 8" tho

Thanks Alpine Guy, I have a Memphis HPO 10" I was wanting to use, but didn't believe I could use that box.  I will pull the trim off this weekend and see what I am getting into.  Have you done this to a Expedition??  Do I need to stuff the box with polyfoam??  Any help would be appreciated.

I had to gut the compartment where the sub was, , and build a new box out of mdf in there.   I had to cut and measure all pieces, and put the box together inside the fender.
