hey when i crank my system, it cuts outs of the song, sounds like the cd is skipping but i think it it a power problem. i have a pioneer headunit powering my infinty referance components and 6 by 9 infinity in the rear. and i have 2 10" pioneer subs only 135 rms each runnin off my mtx amp. The volume on my headunit goes to 60, when i put it to 46 up it starts to cuz out of songs for a brief moment. would it be a bad ground? or just maybe power issues?

It could be a power issue or your subs can not handle the amp.  You also can be running into an issue of distortion.

you need to determine whether its a power/ground issue or just the vibration of your system overloading the capabilities of the cd transport and optic system

pull the deck out of the dash and see if problem persists, if so use a multi meter to test your power connections.  with your probes connected turn up the system to "cranked" as you call it. look for any voltage dips in 12 v constant, switched 12 v, and finally ground

good luck w/ troubleshooting

i think my subs cannot handle the amp, because the amp puts out 200 watts rms to each sub and they only need 125. altho i dont have the gain to full, and there is no distortion it sounds good but that could be the problem. i doubt it is the vibration but i am going to check up on that and check the grounds.

You said the music cuts out. Is it just the bass that cuts out or all your speakers. Because if its all your speakers I would be willing to put money on a deck problem either with it skipping or having and internal problem. If it was the amp cutting out the rest of the speakers would still work and if it was power It would have to be a hell of a power drain to make the sound on your deck cut out being how little it draws and thats compounded by the fact that it is a pretty small amp leads me to believe that this is not a power issue. Unless its just the subs cutting out then its a whole new bag of cats.
