Ive decided to go with alpine in my low budget install. (Its for my commuter car). I will go with the alpine and the add-on sirius tuner. (sirius seems to have more Dance stations. Which is what I listen to mostly). So which alpine should I grab? I don't need anything special but I want the a good HU with decent features. It looks like the big difference in the alpines is how much power they output. Since Ive never used a HU to power my speakers thats not important to me. So what model will best suit me? I was looking at the 9830, becasue its the bottom of the line unit that has sat and a lot of features. Is there any reason to go with a more expensive unit, or a less expensive unit? Thanks. The HU will power a 4 channel alpine amp pushing some Really nice old school MB quarts and probally 1 IDQ 10". Should be a pretty decent budget install.

The 9830 would be just perfect for you, it has built in crossovers to protect your speakers, 3 pre outs, digital time correction.  You'll love this deck
