Is there any chance that I could use my EV-w30 in a mobile installation? Would I need a 20' trailer for an enclosure?
Is there a way to cheat on the specs if I'm not concerned with real performance? What I'm getting at is - this thing would be so cool to see installed - I don't care if it is efficient or whatever. Could it be used as a passive radiator or something? It's mounted in the ceiling of my garage right now but it kind of bothers the neighbors. It is nice to sit under it and listen to Dark Side of the Moon though. Any ideas?

Ah, the big monster.  If you have a W30 don't abuse it as I don't think there is anyone left who can recone them... but here's the T/S parameters for it.  Try a 36 cuft sealed enclosure...

Fs = 16 Hz
Qes = .3
Qms = 2.61
Qts = .27
Vas = 210 cu ft
No = 5 %
Vd = 84.3 sq in.
Sd = 562 sq in.
Xmax = .15 in.
Pe(max)= 60 watts
Znom = 8 ohms
Re = 4 ohms

I saw a custom shop who installed a 32" clarion woofer in a boat. The enclosure was mounted on the wake board tower. I don't think it was a sucess though. rtaudio.com they may still have pics.
