I cast a vote for Alpine, they may not be the most prefered amp for everyone, but they do make some nice amps.

If I voted other...it would be for JL audio, expensive but rugged.

I asked to have the other polls opened up for posts. Don't know about sticky's (as I cannot do them) but we will see if it can be done.

yeah... the 'what everyone else says' list of manufacturers.
I personally voted for soundstream. not just new or old, just SS. my TR amp even if it were a newer PA built amp. it has surpassed all other incar setups i've heard (incar mids/highs), i've yet to put a sub to them, but that never ceases to amaze me at what it gives my speakers ;o

SS :D

I would have to say JBL, Memphis and HiFonics. None of these may be the highest end besty sounding amps, but IMO they are the best for the money, and I live my JBL 600.1.

er also just also wondering - for a 600 watt subwoofer amplifier do these specs seem half respectable?

# Power Output: 424 watts RMS x 1 channel at 4 ohms
# 580 watts RMS x 1 channel at 2 ohms
# 14.4V supply
# Signal-to-Noise Ratio: 72dBA (reference 1 watt into 4 ohms)
# Dynamic Power: 580 Watt at 4 ohms
# Effective Damping Factor: 6.326 at 4 ohms
# Frequency Response (–3dB): 10Hz - 302Hz
# Maximum Input Signal: 5.3V
# Maximum Sensitivity: 210mV
# Output Regulation: .21dB at 4 ohms

thanks again :)

Wow... Someone missed MMATS, US Amps, and Cadence.... Not to mention Nakamichi!

"I don't play games. I play Nakamichi and that for real yo" - Probably some japanese kid said this in the early 80's trying to sell stereo out of his trunk lol.
