I was thinking of puttiing a false bottom in my trunk so that I could put my amps in it. If I were to leave the amps about two or three inches of space would they be alright in that kind of enviorment or would they need more air. I would just rather it look like there is nothing in my trunk than for it to be an attention grabber. I have my two twelves back there but I have the speakers facing the front and the box matches the interior so you can't really tell its there.

You should work out a push-pull dual fan system for a tight enclosure like that. You could put in vents on either side with fans attached on the underside; one pushea air out and the other pulls air in.

They would be ok with minimal play, and it also depends on the amp some amps run cool and some run hot, If your amp runs hot than I would ensure that there is proper ventilation

The main amp i am worried about is a kicker kx1200.1 It has never even been warm before but it is alsow 25 degrees outside. It has a built in fan would that be enough.
