I've had battery problems because my radio doesent turn off so when i exit the car i just take the face off butit still drains my battery can anyone tell me how to hook it up so when i turn my ignition off my radio turns off!?!?

You'll have to hook the remote turn on wire from the HU to a fuse that has no power when the car is switched off. You will have 2 wires to hook up. I don't know what color they are, you didn't specify what brand it is. One wire is for constant power, the other is not.

What is your accessory wire from your radio hooked up to? It's usually the red wire.

whoa supradude... i'd have to question that advice...you're telling him to hook his remote turn to a voltage source... not good... the remote turn on lead is a remote out.. it supplys voltage, it is not supposed to receive voltage.... great way to smoke the remote out transistor...

i tend to suspect he has his Acc power source hooked to a constant.... not allowing the output stage to power down....

Wow, I was thinking one thing and typing another. You are exactly right kgerry. Thanks for pointing this out. I was thinking the accesory wire and typed the remote instead. Not intentional. Sorry Knightmare2oo5. I should have read back over my reply before I posted it.

Now the fuse in the radio's choke box blows everytime i connect try to connect it
