I have a 1992 cadilac el darado and I was installing the hu and amp with sub.Now the problem is that I went to install did not have wire harness and tried going direct and went to the stering wheel.Tapped into the pink and red wire.Now I have current trough the whole car and the car won't start what to do and what to check.Getting desperate.

You tapped into the main ignition harness.  Pink (ign 1) red (12v+).  I would assume you did not cut the wires so I would of course check the fuse and relays. Check to see if you have a resistor chip in your key and check the resistance of the ignition during crank.  Next time take your power from the fuse distribution center off a constant power source for memory  ( yellow) and a switched for power (red).

what do you mean you have current through the whole car????    I would try going back, and buying the correct wiring harness. unless you already cut the old one off..Saving $5 might not have been worth it. Disconnect the wires you hooked up see if the car starts then...If you must you can run wires direct to the battery, but make sure you fuse it properly!
