I have some older Pioneer Subs, not sure model #'s or production year, they have black cones, surrounds and baskets with an "omega" symbol over the word Pioneer on the cones in a gold color. My question, besides asking for as much info on these speakers as I can get, is:
Is there any way to repair the foam surround? I have a small tear in it, appx 1.5 cm, running from the cone to the basket(not all the way, just for a sense of angle of the tear). Someone told me to use nail polish. Just wanted a second opinion first. Thanks in advance.

I recall there was a repair kit selling. I'm not sure which company made it This was a very long time ago.

It came with a new foam to replace the old one, and with a specila solution to clean or remove the old foam. Also came with a paste/glue of some sort.

You would probably be fine using a soft clear silicone glue. You can pick it up at any hardware store - just smooth a thin layer over the tear, and let cure.
