Active X-Over’s

I'm looking into getting an Active X-Over and I was hoping some of y'all could give me a little direction. What are some good x-overs that you know of?? I'm looking for somthing that has three bands:

sub, low-pass & sub-sonic, 24dB/oct
bandpass, high-pass & low-pass, 24dB/oct
highs, low-pass & high-pass, 24dB/oct

What I'm looking into doing is running the sub output to my sub amp and the other two to a 4 channel amp and bi-amping a set of comps (so I can do away with the passive x-over).

I'd probably buy an AudioControl crossover if I needed a separate.

(if you're at all in the market for a new head unit check out some of the offerings from eclipse and alpine that have this functionality - my eclipse does this nicely.. the newer models even allow more customization online.)

I've heard that AudioControl makes some of the best signal processors out there, the only problem is finding them.

Oh, and I want to add this after an eq. I don't want it in a HU.

I am starting to sound like another member on the board here, but try Alto. The UCSPro is what I have in my car (two of 'em), and it will do everything you want and more, including TRUE parametric equalization, noise gate, and other features. Here is the actual link, right to the page. Beyond this, you might have to get in touch with Alto, and they can get you in touch with a dealer in your area.

About halfway down the page is a link to download the software for controlling the unit, and you can install it on your PC, and try it out, to see if it will do what you want. Overall, I have not really seen anything out there to do all of this. Expensive, yes, (I think retail is around 700 bux) but look at what it does... There are other models available on the same site, none with the flexibility of the UCS, but look at those as well, there may be something there for you to look into.

Haemphyst, you aren't starting to sound like another board member.  You have solid reasons for your recommendation tied to functionality that no other product has.  That Alto product does look awesome.

I like that DXS. Do you know the price on that, I wasn't able to find one. I also searched for a dealer, and the website said that they couldn't find one anywhere near me. So, keep the suggestions coming.

Yeah, I've been able to find it for around that online.

I'm not aware of many other quality crossovers in that price range.

Here's one from Alphasonic

The Image Dynamics one is around $600 but looks very nice.

There are also some lower end models out there for cheap. I think Coustic makes one. Probably Fosgate. Let me know if you find any others worthwhile.
