I'm trying to fix a power antenna on an '85 LeSabre. For starters I'm trying to find the antenna relay. I have an 1980 Olds shop manual and I thought the Olds 88 would be the same as this LeSabre which says the relay should be at the right side instrument panel. After removing the glove box I still can't find it. Any ideas? What does it look like?

The realy for the power antenna is attached to the antenna.

Here's how I do it. Get in the car with the radio volume all the way down, windows up and the doors shut. Turn the radio on and off and listen for the relay clicking. That's where you will find your turn on wire. It should be under the passenger side underdash. The wire should pink. Most GM's put the relay inside the car when the antenna is to be exposed to the elements.

If the power antenna is a front mount unit, the relay will be behind the panel above the glove box. The panel will say Buick on it and is usually fake wood. It is just clipped in place. The relay is screwed into the dash and will have a grey and a black plug, each with three wires in it. The relay rarely fails. It is probably the antenna itself.
