The premium sub on a 2004 Subaru Forester XT is mounted in rear and is a 6x9.  Not the best.  I wanted to remove and substitute a factory plastic pocket that fits inside.  Dimensions of the pocket are at least 4.5" deep, 5.5" wide, and 10" long.  Is there a 6" or 8" driver that I can use in that space to take the place of the weak sub.  I will feed it 120 watts bridged @ 4 ohms mono.  I was thinking that I would seal pocket with MDF on top and fill with poly.  Maybe place fiberglass or sound deadening on outside of pocket.  Any ideas?
