I bought my wife a sirius sportster for christmas. Whats the best way to hook it to her alpine 9831? I see it has a rca out and FM modulator. Does the 9831 support aux in so I can hook the sportster to it via rca? Im sure the rca will sound much better than FM mod. I dont know where the manual went to my alpine 9831, thats y Im asking if the 9831 has aux in. I dont want to tare out the dash to find out theres no Aux-in. THANKS!

go https://www.stylestandard.net/oswego/Doc/0/CHPOBH7CKLHK13KPG9DGIUUADC/cda-9831_om.pdf for the 9831 PDF version of the manual you will need adobe to read it. im suer the deck has AUX IN
Are you currently using the AI-Net for a changer, I-Pod adapter, or any other accessory? If not, the CDA9831 has aux in via the AI-Net. You need a KCA121B adapter to turn the AI-Net input into RCA in. If you do have additional accesories on the AI-Net, you would need to use the Versa-Link.
whats the Versa-link? Im not using the AI-Net, but I dont want to tie it up becasue Id like to add a changer in the future.

Looks like the cheapest way to go is get the AI-net to RCA plug. Ill do that. Thanks for the help!
