does anyone know if this system with the 6 speakers are all ran from the hu or did dodge use any amps>  kinda sounds like the dash and rear door speakers are from the hu and maybe the front door speakers are running in a sub mode of an external amp.  thanks

all speakers are externally amplified, the head unit does not feed any speakers directly.

There is an amp behind the glove box, way up in a place that is extremely hard to get to.

Not only is it amplified but it's controlled digitally by the BCM. Metra makes bypass harness' for the 2 different amps that are available for this truck.
