Ok i give up this 2 guage wire is NOT goign to fit nicely int eh SIDE paneling. Now im gonna have to rout it through carpeting. Does anyoen know how to do this ? i have a 1999 Honda Civic LX 4dr. i just need to know where the bolts are in the back seat to remove the whole back seat. I need to know how to take out the bench where ur buttox sits on. from their i know i can start pulling carpet back a bit. is their more places to start peeing back carpet? so anyoen got a clue ? i thought the hardest would be getting the 2guage through firewall but i foudn the a hole covered by some plastic. Now i thought hte routing through the interior would be easy guess i was wrong.! THanks

The rear deck on these cars was something.....(un honda like)....seems more a BMW or Benz design!

Get the seat BOTTOM up first, then you'll see 2 or 3 10mm bolts on the bottom of the seat back, the hold it and the seat belts down. Then lift the seat back UP.   Next, the fun part, you need a ratchet and a 10 mm socket. Undo the bolts that go into the side panal. (the panal that goes around the rear side glass and covers the rear deck)

You need a panal tool, or youll bust the plastic clip holders on the back side. NEXT, open the trunk and twisat out the light bulb for the 3rd brakelight. Check for any bolt going thru the rear deck....I cant remember.  Start at the front of the rear deck and put your hands UNDER it and pop the holders off, when you get to a good point grab the deck and pull with all your might (do the snatch and grab)...........FUN HUH

There should be one 10mm bolt on the driver's side between the lower seat and the upper seat, reach your hand and slide it between and you will feel it. Remove the bolt and then the front should have 2 clips, one on each side, the clips should either release with a slight pull or you may need to push into them with a flathead screwdriver to remove.

The fold down seats will have bolts as well. To remove start with the passenger's side, there will be 2 10mm bolts on both sides where the hinge is, just remove the bolts. For the driver's side, there are 2 10mm bolts on the outer edge of the seat, again where there is a hinge. Then there is 1 10mm bolt in the center below the passenger's seat center hinge is, remove this bolt and the driver's side will slide out.

Yea, that's it. The bolt releases it but I'm pretty sure its secured in other areas. Removing the bolt allows the seat to slip out of the other areas.

There are two clips in the front of the seat, one on each sides. Pull the 10mm bolt out from the rear of the seat. Then pull gently up on the front corners of the seat, it should pop right out. If it gives much resistance then lift the bottom of the seat and look for the clip. If there is a small piece sticking out then take a flathead screwdriver and push the clip and then the seat should just pop right out.

You think that is bad, try taking the headliner out to suede it, with the sunroof cover.
