I'm currently working on a list of some of the better known/good quality makers out there. If you could possibly tell me of any good quality audio company I'd appreciate it(websites are what I'm going for, I kinda like being able to study the main product lines). Also if you would be so kind to tell me what product lines are the more common, that'd be great. So far I have:

Rockford, Kicker, Memphis, JL Audio, Infinity, MTX, Alpine, Pioneer, Kenwood, Clarion, and Eclipse.

Stuff I'm looking for is car audio component. (Subs/Amps/Mid&High Speakers/Head Units/Anything Else Along This Line.) No video for now please.

Also interested in opinion concerning companies/product lines. Like is clarion any good?

I am fan of rainbow too, just ordered some!

What you have listed up above are good companies, ones that offer good products for the money. I am afraid of the companies under the Directed label, like orion, ppi, and ads. I think those comapnies were great for a period of time, you might be careful of them now.

Arc audio makes some great amps

Website links might help with some of these. Can't find an english Focal site.

Can't find either:
Audison, Zappco, Nakamichi

Think that's all so far.

Xtant, Zapco, Treo, US Amps, Adire, RE..all at the top...for a budget..JBL amps are great and the subs are good as well..Adire and RE could also give you somethin great even on a budget. The Shivas, Tempests, RE's, SE's..all very good IMO. MTX is a great amp in my opinion. I'll be running my RE8 off a 311D..the Thunder line amps are very solid and can be had at a good price off ebay.

i didnt see any brax....or tru.. come on guys..the helix??????? alumapro??? crystal??? dls.. NOW for everyone who thinks audiobahn is good.........How long have you been doing this.?????? a year maybe 2?  if you have ever seen a bl graph of an audiobahn sub you would know.. just like lookin at kicker.. ha ... thats right kicker and audiobahn suck... for the money.. if those products were 1/2 the dollar amount that they retail for then they it would be fair.. but still not...."GOOD"..

You said you want a reason why audiobahn is bad, then like I said do a search on this site and you will get ample reasons why you should not like them. BTW I live in canada and I have beat the sh*t outta many a audiobahn systems in comps and almost all of those systems never even came close to the top of the standings so to answer your question "Can you use Audiobahn in Competions?" My answer is yes you can, but you arent gonna place, at least not if there is any real competion there.

I said alumapro, and other than that, i don't agree with the other companys on my list.... Alumapro makes the M16 and Alchemy RX... I've been doing this since i was 15, and that was in 1984. Do the math.

I dont understand this statement. Are you saying that the other companies on your list are not well knowen or recomended, cause that is what it seems like it says. I am sure yo ment something else but it just doesnt make any sense to me.

I've always lked my Planet Audio equipment, but last time I knew, alot of yall aren't fans of the equipment. All I know is the their demo car with two 12's blew away Alpine's type r car with 3 12's. Uthink, u can add Boss to that bottom list. Atleast the Riot series, the IQ series is actually good stuff.

hey jazz, all of that boss and planet audio garbage come off the same production lines.  yep, and throw soundstorm (yes "storm" not "stream") into that corporate conglomeration of sh** for good measure!!!

for the most part i would agree with the other lists, i would recommend:

kenwood excelon, butler amps, phoenix gold.

nameplates to be weary of since they are not the industry leader they once were are...(corporate entities)

lanzar (pyle, pyramid), soundstream(power akoustik), orion & ppi (dei), rockford fosgate(themselves!), and im really starting to wonder about us amps after talking with their shady representatives at CES!!!
