Ive got all my equipment and am in the instalation phase but have a few questions regarding wiring. Im going to be hooking up 2 12'' 4ohm RF P2 Subs to a RF P5002 amp but am confused on how to wire them. Am I going to be runing speaker wire straight from the amp (its a 2 channel amp witha left and a right hook up) to each sub or am I going to have to interconnect the subs?

I've seen RF wiring diagrams where they show Series wiring, Parallel wiring and Series-Parallel Wiring but I am un sure which is for me and which will produce the best quelity.

All and any help would be appreciated.

I've lost the amp installation manual but from reading off the box is states that it can be hooked up either 125x2@4 ohm, 250x2@2ohm, or 500x1@4ohm. Having said that and knowing that my subs are 4 ohm would I have to do the first option or could i do the second 240x2@2ohm in which case I would get more wattage.

I just checked the specs on your subs, and it looks like you will only be getting 125 watts to each speaker. Your only option is to wire each sub to their own channel on the amplifier. So no series or parallel wiring needed here.

One question, what do you mean by "best quality"? If you meant loudest, you should have gotten either the 8 ohm versions of the subs, or a mono amplifier that pushes 400 watts RMS @ 2 ohms.

No you can't. You have a two channel amp that will take a minimum load of 4 ohms bridged. The wiring diagram you referred shows wiring to bridge to the amp. You'll have to use aggie's recommendation with those subs or trade up to a mono amp that can handle a 2 ohm load. As aggie said, trade the amp or trade the subs...or settle for less than the spl you're looking for.

jumpman is right...you should just give each sub a channel. or sell those subs and get good ones. I havent looked but Im guessin that your subs arent dvc so you could run them parallel at 2 ohms. My amp is a 2 channel and its 2 ohm stable.
