Alright i know i just posted about the thunder 9500's and stuff and i still plan to keep those but i was just curious what the big deal with the brahma's. Dont get me wrong i'm NOT hatin on them and i wouldnt mind having some but i was just curious what makes them so good.  Honestly they seem rather complicated like what ohms do the VC's come in and the power they need? how much would be good for them alot or a little?  And one more ? what do you guys think would be a really good set up with one brahma or two brahma 12's like what amp would be good for them and stuff thanks for the replies sorry if this seems really dumb but i was just wondeirng

Thanks

Chad

Brahma 15 ported runnin off a JBL 1200.1..That would make some noise and still manage to sound great. There are other good choices as far as amps go..that's just one of them.

Oh, also to answer your question in what makes them so great...tons of excursion..gets loud and sound great..and can get really loud off minimal power. I know a guy runnin 1 Brahma 15 ported off a JBL 600.1..hittin 146.3 on the TL.

Crazy loud excursion, while maintaining constant SQ. I run 2 12'' Brahmas off of one Cadence ZRS-9 and bang! Brahmas are awesome.

The Brahma was the sub that released our new motor technology; XBL^2.  It greatly reduces the distortion in a subwoofer over previous motor topologies.  This translates some of the best SQ possible out of a subwoofer.  If you get a chance to hear one, I'm sure you will be impressed.

We are re-vamping our line for 2005 and will be releasing the full details after CES (which I leave for tomorrow morning).  The changes are also bringing about a lot of new dealers, so we may have one very close to you soon if we don't already.  So check the dealer page of our website regularly.

Honestly, you should get plenty loud with a single Brahma 12, so unless you want some insane output I would recommend going that route.  That should save you some money and trunk space.  For enclosure, it really depends on what you are looking for.  Here's a link to a page that shows different enclosure sizes based on different goals: https://www.adireaudio.com/Files/cut%20sheets/Brahma%20Sales%20Brochure.pdf

Alrighty well i'll wait a while to see what 2005 brings to the table for you guys maybe some better stuff huh??? LOL. I was just wondering what you think is a good amp right now i have an Audiobahn a1500hct (yah i know its audiobahn) and at the moment i have a MTX 801D on my 9500. Would either one if those work? I know you guys say they dont need alot of power and stuff but  i'd like to give it over 500 or so watts and i'm looking for maybe a SPL ported box for the sub but a spl sealed would work too i suppose so let me know what you think ok.

Thanks

Chad

I to am from fargo.  I know some people that will be at CES.  They are with Advanced Autowerx and Electronix.  Currently they are selling phoenix gold and mb quart if I'm not mistaken.  Though I mentioned Adire to them when I spoke with them.

What would be louder, two 12" shivas running off a jbl 600.1, or 1 15" brahma running off the 600.1? What about a brahma 12"?

Id say the Brahma 15 would be louder..possibly even the Brahma 12 too.

Im looking for subs to replace my Orion C12s, they are nice subs, but im not getting all the potential out of my JBL amp. The Brahmas are a little costly for me though, even for one. Whatever I get I wont have the money untill spring or summer (gotta get a new HU first) so I have plenty of time to shop around.

Budget sub = Shiva's. I'd even get 2 of those crazy Tempest 15''s.

Anyone from South Carolina or North Carolina have a Brahma I can hear?  Just curious, I would be willing to use the gas and time to have that opportunity.

lol.  I know... posted_image  I'm hoping to be home in 2-3 months. (South Carolina)  And it just so happens that I've already done a setup with tempests a couple years ago when adire was home audio only.  I ran two temptests in a 90 Accord, in a vented enclosure I built myself, with a JBL 1200.1 amp.  I set two records (SC) with that setup when I hit a 153.7 legal on an AudioControl mic in .....April something 01? 02?  If i remember right, the JVC KD-SH77 hu, autotek amp, jbl amp, enclosure, tempests, and i dont remember what tweets and 6.5's i had... all ran me under $900.  So yeah... I was very happy to beat the new escalade behind me with around 5 grand worth of system.  posted_image

like af accord, i know no one in my area with adire equipment. i am planning on buying a brahma when i get some extra cash(have a 126v2 so im not in too much of a rush) but would really like to hear them, and the kodas as well before i buy. i live in vt and am also all over new york, conneticut, and new jersey. please pm me if you can help me out. i love how you can ask people if they know anyone if they have brahmas and they havent heard of adire.    though most people in vt think audiobahn is the cream of the crop and my sq setup blows because they dont hear my system outside my truck unless my windows are down
