I'm trying to decide whether to get the

Q-Logic QLH-2.2515SE

Type 2 Single 15" Hatch Box

or get a custom box made for my two 15'' fubr power acoustik subs...

My first question is If I use two single boxes instead of 1 dual will my subs not play as efficiently, or should I just go with the custom, the qlogic box pretty much matches all my specs, power acoustik wants 3.0 cu ft for ported box and the box has 2.75 cu ft I know this isnt exact but is it TOO bad? thanks in advance

Go with the Qlogic box unless you are willing to build your own. Shops usually charge an arm and a leg for custom boxes. You can either use one box or two, it doesnt matter. If you use one box just make sure it has two seperate chambers, one for each sub.

If you want the best performance out of your subs you should get a custom box for them. I would never suggest getting a ported pre fab box of any sort, even though Qlogic makes a "good prefab" box. If you must use a pre fab box I would suggest getting a sealed Qlogic. If you have the tools..you can have someone design a box for you for fairly cheap. Justin from caraudiocentral.net designs them for $25. He'll fax or mail you full blue prints and cut out sheets for your box. That would include every cut you would need to make. All you would need to do is follow the instructions basically. There may be someone on this forum that will design you a box for cheaper, but I'm not aware of anyone.
