yesterday i installed some polk dB6500 components and polk dB650 coaxials on an MTX thunder 564 4ch amp in my truck. all the speakers play fine but i dont think i have it tuned properly, i am in the pre-sub phase of building up the system and there is almost no bass even from the midbass drivers. the crossovers are not adjustable for the components, but on the amp there is a switch for HP-FP-LP i know high pass and low pass but whats the other one? there are also knobs that say freq(uency) and eq but there are no markings as to what #'s i am working with and even if there were i would not know how to properly adjust them. if anyone can give me a brief explanation of what these two knobs do and how i can get my midbass drivers to thump a little more until i add the subwoofer i would be forever indebted to you all. thanks!

FP=full pass (full range).  freq would be the crossover setting when the amp is set on either low pass or high pass.  You should look up the manual for this amp to find out how to use it.  Here it is.  Looks like eq is a bass boost.  Run all the speakers through high pass and adjust the frequency knob (while listening) until you are satisfied with the sound.  The eq knob will not be used.
