Sorry if I am repeating something that has been hammered out before, but as I have stated before, I am looking for a new sub for my Explorer. I want a 10" sub that will go into a sealed enclosure and am primarily concerned with sound quality over SPL. My budget is in the area of 150-200 for the sub. I know that isn't really big bucks when it comes to subs, but I think I can get a decent one that meets my needs for that amount.

I've had recommendations for the Infinity Perfect 10.1d and the Adire Shiva (that is a 12" sub though I believe, which would be fine). Are there any other recommendations out there for my specs? I am leaning more and more toward Adire after reading this forum the past few days. I know the Shiva is the "entry level" sub from Adire, and it is pretty much no frills. Should that concern me? Would that be a good option? I know the Brahma's are supposedly awesome, but I don't think I want to drop 350 on a sub. This will be for my personal use only, no competetions or any of that.

There are SO many options and opinions...I would love to narrow it down to a list of three or so that I know will be excellent choices. Thanks all!

I actually don't have the amp yet..I'm thinking of going with the Infinity 6 channel amp that would put about 250-300 watts into the sub at 2 ohm's....I guess one other disadvantage with the Shiva is that it is an 8 ohm speaker...I'm taking recommendations on the amp as well right now.

do you absolutely have to go with a 6 channel amp? I find that people are often times disappointed with the lack of flexibility they have with a 6 channel as opposed to a four channel and dedicated sub amp... but hey just another sub suggestion is the image dynamic line, they often give the flexibility of sq and a little bump. you will see most people leaning toward the adire stuff here, I have never heard any of it so I won't comment on it. Of the products that people suggest, go listen to them to make the final decision for yourself with comparable power.

or if you are looking for another selection, if you have a car audio shop go and listen to what you can and decide, If you have a chance to listen to a fosgate punch stage 3 or a power stage 1 go and do it you will be very suprised as to how it sounds and how hard it will hit, this sub will hit harder than most subs, go listen and feel the power

I haven't considered Rockford....I was actually considering two separate amps, but because of space and cost savings, started thinking about the single amp. Will it make much of a difference?....Where can I get the image dynamics? I don't think any of my local dealers carry them.

I found an online dealer that had a special going for 115 shipped. I did a search for Adira on the forum and went through the posts, and one of the posts had some links to online dealers. If I have some time later, I will see if I can find it and post it....

i talked to many of the online dealers, all the ones i talked to are out until february. adire is changing production on these subs and that is a thorn in my side. probably worth the wait though.

"Right now we are going through some changes.  This means that unless our dealers bought up a good stock of Brahma's, they will be out.  We have several online dealers that you could contact.  Try https://www.sound-foundations.us/, https://www.acoustic-visions.com/, www.visionaryaudio.com, and www.creativesound.ca.  They are our online dealers and may have them in stock."

maybe the links above are different than the ones you checked....

REaudio's RE 12 would do good as a replacement for shiva.  Or Elemental designs 12" sub

https://reaudio.com/html/ - have to click on subs and RE- go to contacts and email them about purchase.

https://www.edesignaudio.com/11kv2_overview.htm

ED subs are acutally cheaper than shiva, and will work better since its not a dual 8ohm voice coil sub.
