hey i have a deh-p3600 pioneer cd player and i have it hooked up in my 98 dodge neon and the problem is that there is no sound comming from the interior speakers and the subs will play fine...and the cd player will only turn on when the headlights are on...posted_image...i have the aftermarket adapters plugged into the stock ones so im thinkin the wiring was right but sumtin has to be wrong...and the thing that gets me is that i just tried it in my lumina last night and everything works fine so obviously wiring is messed up but i have not a clue where....thanks for any help a head of time...

sounds like the ground is attached to the illumination. In this vehicle there is no groung in the vehicle's harness. you have to ground the hu separatly.
