Sorry for the rather off-topic post, but I know at least a handful of the guys here are into 2-channel audio.
I was recently given a pair of old polk floorstanding loudspeakers by a friend cleaning house and I'm trying to pin down the model number, year, etc.
I'm fairly positive the speaker was from the 80s. It has a large (10"ish) passive radiator, 2 6"ish midrange drivers in horizontal alignment, and a top-mount tweeter. The top of the speaker is interesting. The grill lifts off the entire top of the speaker to expose the tweeter and crossover. The tweeter is mounted to an open-air baffle w/ angled edges.
I'll take a pic tonight if I can, maybe tomorrow and see if that helps jog anyone's memory.
To my pleasant surprise the pair sounds quite good. Bass is slightly loose, but overall not a bad sounding speaker, especially for free.

Finally found a description that matches. Seems they are the polk RTA 12b speakers.
Anyway, let me know if anyone has any experience w/ one?
