I just wanted some pointers on where to drill the hole for your Hot wire and other wires going to the Engine area. thats one the hardest things for me to do thanks

Vehicle year/make/model would help because it varies vehicle to vehicle.

there is most likey already a usable hole in the firewall that you could snake the PWR wire through. but just a tip if you do end up drilling, and it can be anywhere in the firewall as long as it doesn't conflict or get in the way of anything, make sure you use a grommet so that the insulation doesn't get cut from the sharp metal. usually you can stick the power wire through with the main group of wires that go through under the driver side dash. and if you can't squeeze it through most of them have a huge rubber grommet or boot around the wires and if you are really careful you can drill a hole through the rubber and squeeze your wire in that way. ------------- blah blah blah blah

i love that pic @ hzemall.com of the power wire run THROUGH the airbag sensor on the firewall. before you drill a hole check BOTH sides of the firewall! good luck yo.

gee bluetruck...sounds almost like the guy who ran his power wire into his fender and through the door jam and hinge, he came in asking why his fuse kept blowing, took one look and told him to stop wasting his money on fuses, pay me to re-run your power wire...save your money

That airbag module didnt have an amp power wire running through it, it was the wiring for an air ride system. The story behind that was the guy went and got airbag suspesion put in on the truck, and when they were routing the wiring for the system they drilled through the airbag module. Amazingly enough, the airbags did not go off right away, the shop had pulled the truck out in the parking lot, air ride completly installed, and they went off when the truck was just sitting there in the lot. The shop was unaware they had ever went off and they only found out they went off when the customer came to pick up the vehicle and they walked over to the truck and saw them hangin out of the dash. They told the customer that there is no way they did anything to set them off and advised the customer to take the truck to the dealer ship and get it looked at and if they were found to be responsible they would pay. The customer said dont worry about it because he planned on fiberglassing the dash and the airbags would have to go for that anyways so they just cut them out and he drove away. ABout 4 months later he took the truck into get the dash done and the problem was discoverred then. I am not sure what ever happened after that but thats the story I heard behind that picture.
