Does anyone know where to get a really good ground preferably near the trunk for a 2004 Sunfire sedan? I cant seem to find anything to ground on its like they dont make these vehicles out of metal anymore.
Any ideas?
Have you tried the area by the spare tire, its all metal and is part of the uni-body, so it should be solid
Just a thought

I have a 2004 cavalier and i found a good ground under the rear seat. The rear seat has to clips on the front bottom. It comes out real easy. The bolt that holds the seatbelts is connected to the frame, so you can take the nut off if you want and place the ground there. Or you can get an other bolt and place the ground on top of the other nut. It works good for me and it looks clean.

Hurry get me a steel hanger, elec tape, zip ties, a monkey and a snorgle. trust me i've ran wires with less
A good spot is above the rear wheel wells where two pieces of metal are spot welded together. The metal is two layers thick for a good bite. Don't go through a piece of metal that passes to the outside of the car, as this will only cause corrossion to start on the body and your ground point. Scrape away all paint for a good contact area.

hey i just fnished putting in an amp on one of those sufires. i grounded it to the metal that is where the spare tire anchors to. just lift the spare and youlll see that thing on the floor of the trunk sticking up. Just dont forget to sand off the paint and just us a big self tapping screw to get a real nice tight fit. i hope that helps you out.
