My deck was running fine for years and one day the face decided to blank out/power out....  The weird thing is, inserting and ejecting CDs works pefectly fine.  I even went as far to try to put another deck into the damn thing and same results...   After checking the wires I noticed a RED / BLACK wire all by itself not hooked into anything. 

I have a Honda Civic 94.    There is a RED / YELLOW wire hooked into the RED port on the harness

Any answers??   Thanks

RED / black on your car harness is illumnation.
