have come across one of these amps for sale used for $85. Is this a good deal? I've never heard of this brand before as I do most of my shopping thru crutchfield. What are the specs of this amp? I tried to google it, but this forum was the best thing I came up with...help please?

xtant is a very good company. You probebly mean a model 121M. This is a 125 watt mono amplifier. Here's the manual.------------- Support the12volt.com

The 3001 is a much better deal for a mono Xtant amp. They ebay for only $10 or so more and include a completely redesigned and updated amplifier circuitry. When I was in search of a cheap amplifier to power my sub I called Xtant's customer support and was told what I'm telling you.

I think that I'm going to end up passing on it. I thought it would have more output than that. I was thinking of using it to run an infinty perfect 10 in a sealed box. I'll probably have to end up with something a bit beefier. Thank you guys for the info, very much appreciated =)

The 3001 puts out an honest 300w at 2ohms. Something like that would be pretty nice for a perfect 10". Worth a look.

Yeah, I decided that I shouldn't spend any money right now. I work on commission and the last couple months haven't been so good. Things are picking up now tho and tax season is coming up and I'm expecting a pretty nice return. So I'll definitely look into this in the future. Thank you for your help =)
