I recently had my altec lansing computer system die on me but the subs it came with are in perfect condition. I was able to get the box open (which was a pain in the a**) Anyways, the subs pound and I was wondering if someone could recommend an amp to power these little suckers. I don't know if they would work but it's worth a shot. I currently have 2 12" Kenwoods driven by a kenwood 800 watt amp. I want to add these 2 subs (if possible) to my current system. I know I have to get a new amp, how would I run the system? Can I tap into my other amp for power? or do I have to run a separate line?
Here are the power ratings & size of subs:
-92 Watts @ 4 ohms @ 1% THD @ 18 - 100 Hz (-3dB) Single Channel Loaded
-109 Watts @ 4 ohms @ 10% THD @ 16 - 105 Hz (-3dB) Single Channel Loaded
Subs x 2 6.5" long throw woofers
Dimensions: 8.3" (W) x 18.5" (D) x 18.0"(H)
And you want to put these in your car? Why?

I wasn't sure if I wanted to add them or to use them elsewhere. I just want to know what kind of amp would be good to power them
Looks like they will handle 100 watts into their 4 ohms. Why did you remove them from their enclosure? They probably will not function very well in anything other than the enclosure they were designed for, and I'll bet it is a bandpass... anyway, with 2 x 12's in your car already I see no point in "adding" this system at all....
