Hey guys, Im doing a stereo for a mate with a 191 Nissan Bluebird. Headunit is sweet, but speakers are not. He`s got the factory speakers in, and all the speaker wires in the factory wiring harness are in pairs and are shielded. For some reason the speakers wont go when hooking them up to the new headunit?!

Ive tested the headunit with a spare speaker so I know its working fine. Ive run new wires to the rear speakers and they`re now working, but I dont want to with the front ones because the doors are a pain in the ass to get wires to (on this car).

Can anyone think why the factory wires arent working proporly for me? The speakers worked with the factory headunit. I thought maybe theres some kinda factory amp or something but Im stumped...

Cheers

- Dan

Its going to be hard to find info for that car since no one on this forum probably has ever heard of one other than me.  They never made it to north america.  You may want to try a nissan forum of some kind.

I haven't seen one of these in years.  I've never worked on one, but I'd have to agree it sounds like it has an amp.  Check all the normal places like under the rear parcel, behind glove box, inside console, etc.

You could also check here:

See if this harness matches yours, and connect the light green (remote turn on).
