I tested all the wires in the wiring harness for the radio and only one shows 12v and it shows it reguardless of key position (off/on). Where is the switched 12v? Since the only wire I found that shows 12v never turns off my radio dosent turn off when I stop the car. Does a Checy prizm have a switched 12v I can tap into? Thanks for the help!

hey there, on all the newer chev's that i've done like that i've gone straigh to the ignition harness to find the switch'd wire there,  on that vehicle i beleive it's still the basic chev colors and your switch'd wire should be orange for the acc.  however, please double check that with a multimeter befor you wire it in.  but thats where i've ran my acc wires for the newer chevs. you might be able to find another spot around the fuse box. but that's all i know for now :)

Check your fuses first.  Then check the gray wire for accessory.

Ya I was going to look at fuses next. I jsut figured it couldnt be blown becasue The radio was working when i removed it, but weirder things have happened. The alpine HU drained my battery even when it was turned off. The fan still runs when its off with the 9835 model :(
