That amp is used very successfully on Brahma's by quite a few people. But there are some quirks you need to know. First of all, that amp doesn't have a subsonic filter. So if you are planning on porting the sub with a high tuning frequency, you will need to get one. Also, the gain structure is a little wierd. If your head unit has 4 volt outputs, you will need the gain on the amplifier turned all the way down otherwise you will clip the signal and can easily hurt the sub. Especially since that amplifier is a little under rated. You have more than enough power as is to hurt a Brahma in a decent sized enclosure. So be careful. I've fixed too many Brahma's murdered by people with that amp and not knowing how to set it up properly. One suggestion though is to get a higher end amp. You have a very high end sub, so powering it with a low end amp doesn't make too much sense. Although I'm sure you will be happy with teh JBL amp, you might want to consider a better amplifier. They usually have better warranties, features, and protection on them. Steven Kephart Adire Audio -------------

JBL makes a great amplifier, i woudn't put them down. I'd give it a blast. If you can afford that crazy BPX thing, go for it. That circuitry is crazy! Other than that, other amps can vary from US Amps, MMATS, Cadence, etc. ------------- "I don't play games. Id stick with the JBl...like Stephan said it has no SSF..two tricks with that are to use use a pair of RCA Y-splitters so all 4 RCA inputs get signal.the amp performs best this way. Also, if you use a ported box for the sub, swing by partsexpress.com and pick up an RCA level FMOD 20Hz high-pass

A couple cadence amps off the top of my head that would work are a Z7000 amp and the ZRS-8 would be plenty of power for those. All of those are great amplifiers. If you are considering cadence, pm me, i got the hook up. Cadence makes some of the best amplifiers out and i highly recommend those two i just said, especially the ZRS-8. Cadence is in a whole different ballpark than JBL. Tony ------------- "I don't play games.
