No, not at all.  If what you say is the the true tuning, you've got it closer than most do.  Too, I've seen recommendations for tuning very often relying on the box size and port size that will easily fit a vehicle, but are not the best tuning for the particular woofer.  For example, I've seen 35 Hz as the recommended tuning, but in real life, a tuning point of 26 Hz made for better sound.  What are you using for design help, any software?

I've heard both haemphyst and DYohn say it was a great program.  In fact, haemphyst used it to design a crossover for me for a project I was working on.  Yes, I heard it is an old program, and you may have to enable settings on Windows XP to run it.  Anything old I try, though, XP figures the settings automatically.

If you have a copy of JBL Speakershop, don't lose it... it is the only software I use. GREAT software package. I modify the database by deleting all of the old, decrepit drivers as soon as I install it - makes for a little smoother database access. As far as running on XP, it works fine, but do not try to change window resolution on it while running - it'll puke all over you! Does the same in 2K. Change the default resolution under the option menu, restart the program, and it'll work just fine.

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
