the golf cart has 6-8v batteries how would i configure to get 12 volt out of the batteries to hook the constant and acc to the radio???

Use a 12V battery.  Or wire two 6-volt batteries in series.

Are you sure it isn't (8) 6 volt batteries? I have never seen an 8 volt battery... not to say they DON'T exist...
