I am trying to install aftermarket head unit into a 1997 Explorer with the premium stereo kit. Is it possible to use the factory amp found the speaker wires but not sure of the power wires for the amp. Found the amp in the right rear of the suv.

premium sound or the JBL system? either way the internal amp in aftermarkets sound better than the crap they used back then. but if its the regular premium sound you can get a harness for it that integrates the amp at best buy or circuit city, but if it has the jbl system with the sub in the back then you have to bypass it.
