i am trying to get a second (front) low level output from my pioneer deh-12 i don't want to use a line converter it never sounds right. I've located the front channel ciruit input to the on-board amplifier. can i solder a set of rca's directly to the inputs or do i need to add something between the rca's and these circuits

Use a Y adapter to get that second set as you want.
