hey guys whats up,  I am at work right now and i am installing a this alpine head  unit into a Scion TC.  Now the customer wants  the face of the unit mounted on the headliner so i put it there looks nice and the unit inself is mounted in the glove box.  Now i solder 24 guage wire from the head unit inself right too the face of the unit now it turned on for like a sec and then nothing after so I was wondering if anyone could help me out please.  And ASAP if possible

I take it you checked all fuses and solder connections?

yeah i did and every thing seems fine but some of the wires are reading like 5v and some are like.02 v and things like that but the wire is gettin power and i dont know why its not comming on

see last night what happen was that i had 22 guage wire on it then it turned on  but the screen was not on everything was on but no screen so i changed the wire and put 24 guage and then nothing wont tturn on so any suggestion or help

two things to possibly check

1. Y are you only getting .02v? and what is that wire controlling?

2. Is there an illumination wire on the factory harness that you didn't connect, I think its orange I may be wrong

i mean is this like possible to do and do i like have the basic idea of doing this just soldering the wires to the pins behine the face and also on the head unit inself

and what i should do and should not do

humm, try puting it back together and put the face on like normal to be safe, ,if it still works, then it could possibly be that the wires are too long or something silly.  A few people hav done this sucessfully, and a few that i remember have had some problems with wireing, , like to short/to thin, stuff like that.
