if you want to get rid of a little flicker, if a cap works it will do that but your lights will just be more dim. probably wont work anyways. the alternator is the way to go. you could also try a deep cycle. i have a 120 amp alt and my lights were flickering and i thought my alternator was on its way out or i needed more output. threw in a deep cycle which i was putting off and problem solved.

A deep cycle is a battery. Like a Optima Yellow Top.

Caps are useless. That's just my opinion. Go with a HO alternator and good battery (like Optima). Upgrade all wiring also.

Caps are pretty much useless. Your best bet is to get a better/bigger alternator. Also a deep cycle battery will only put a bandaid on the main problem. Deep cycle batteries are batteries that can be fully discharged and recharged more then a regular battery.
