03 escalade door panel rem

how in the hell to you get this door panel off?
if encountered a few caddy cars that were a bitc$ to get the panel off before, is this the same setup? where they use a funky clip system instead of a bolt by the door handle area? ive got the rear 7mm bolt removed behind the door handle, but i cant get the "clip" on the front side of the handle to budge.......

Insert a flat-bladed tool between the door handle bezel and the trim panel in order to release the handle bezel tab retainers.


Remove the door handle bezel from the door panel.

Release the upper extension by pulling outward on the front edge in order to release the upper retainer clips.
Remove the upper extension from the trim panel by lifting up and out.

Using a suitable flat bladed tool, gently pry the manual lock lever from the door trim panel.
Remove the trim panel screws
   • Remove the screw (2) from within the opening where the manual door lock lever resides.

   • Remove the screw (3) from the opening in front of the armrest.

Carefully slide the trim panel up in order to release the retainers from the door.
Disconnect the electrical connectors.
