Ijust got my KAC-X401M and need suggestions on what  type of 8's would handle the power. I've  got 2 boxes for four 8's mounted in the trunk of my Focus.I wuould also like to know If yall suggest an alternator and battery upgrade. I know i need thicker gauge wire like 4 AWG.

if you want to all 4 I would go with 4 4 ohm dvc wire them in each sub in series so each sub is showing 8 ohms, now wire you subs to each other in parallel this will give you a 2 ohm load at around 1200 watts from your amp. I would go with either alpine type r,rockford fosgate either p3 or power stage 1. What kind of boxes do you have ( sealed or ported) what are the specs of your boxes (cubic feet) what is your budget. what kind of music do you loisten to . do you want spl or sq.

They are fiberglass boxes that i haven't measured the volume yet but I know they should be plety of space . .s/q would be good for me right now because I'm sure they would laugh at me  at  a spl contest. I'm mostly doing it to show off my fiberglass skills, but still want it to sound a little killer.

The second box  is still in mock up. Haven't decided if to paimt it  yet or do it like the other box.
