I'm trying to construct a harness to use the AUX input of a 2000 Chev Silverado stock radio. The radio contains a CD/AUX pushbutton switch. How do I enable the AUX input so that the radio allows the CD/AUX switch to toggle to the AUX input?

The wiring diagram of the AUX or CD changer 9 pin connector contains a few "extra" pins. I expected to be able to pull the "R14" or the "E&C" pin to ground or +12v to enable the AUX input. That didn't work. Any ideas?
