I just put a headunit plus some LEDs in my car, they both worked fine until the switch for the LEDs broke.  The switch was wired into the radio and was a 3 pronged switch (Power, Ground, Acc). I bought a new switch today and it was two pronged.  The switch was run into the headunit fuse.  I had forgot what wire was what and (I think this is the problem) to find out tried different combinations of the wires on the switch and it sparked the first time.  I disconnected all the switch wiring and now the headunit only works when the car is running and when the turn signal is clicked or emergency lights, the headunit turns off.  This only occurs when a turn signal is turned on, and the signal; does not even blink.  Can anyone help me with this or give me some idea as to what went wrong?

Any help would be appreciated, BTW the car is a dodge dakota.

Thanks

All i can tell you is that you shouldnt have wired the LEDs into the radio wiring. Take it to a professional to troubleshoot

what year dakota? when you say the headunit fuse you mean in the fuse box for the truck? if so check to see if the radio fuse is next to the turn signal fuse/headlight fuse. you might have fused those two fuses together. you can try to seperate the melted metal between the 2 fuseholders if that is the case. there also could be a piece of wire in there connecting the two. good luck
