 I have a 2003 pontiac sunfire, and I am trying to install a new kenwood in place of the factory. I need to iknow the wire colors. There are a couple diagrams on the internet... but the colors they are telling me are wrong. I have a purple, gray, and not two browns or yellows like some say. Please help!

you have yourself a databus deck. You really should go get the adapter harness for this vehicle. Search this site for data bus class 2 and you will get a ton of explanation why its not worth cheaping out here.

at the top of the page, right under the banner at the top, on the right is a group of buttons, one says search, use that and search the bodies of the posts not just the titles.
