Blown Fuse?

I recently installed a security system, and during the install at one point a live wire touched the frame of the car. This caused a 50amp fuse under the hood to blow, which I replaced. The problem is that my head unit dosent work anymore. The buttons light up when i turn my headlights on, and it will still eject cds, but it will not come on. I looked at all the fuses under the hood, in the drivers kick panel and the in line fuses in back of the unit, but none appear to be blown. Does anyone know what my problem might be? a:what kind of head unit is it? b:check the hu for blown fuses. some have it inline on the batt wire, some in the back, and on occasions inside of it. if you can open it up without breaking warranty check for fried components in it

I have a Clarion ProAudio DXZ545MP. It does have in-line fuses, I checked them and they seem to be fine. Thanks

I'd use a multimeter and check the power directly at the back of the deck for 12v ignition and the 12v constant. if you got both and the fuse on the deck is find then there is a problem with the deck, if one doesnt show power than either the fuse is blow, or the circuit is damaged some how, and you will have to repair the circuit or run new power wires to the deck.
