im a noob in the car audio world so please dont go harsh on me. i have a 2002 ford taurus...and i want to put in a new head unit. I want a pioneer head unit but, obviously, it will be waay too small and i *think* i will need a faceplate.  Will I need to build brackets to mount it in or not? If I do need a faceplate where can i get one or do i have to make one? and if so how?

thanx

Does the car have climate control or standard knobs for heat / ac? The kit you need to install it is Metra 99-5716 (as long as you do not have climate control option). The kit comes with the wiring harness and antenna extention. The connections for the antenna and power / speaker harness are made in the trunk of the car on the driver's side.

Any car audio shop, bestbuy, circuitcity, crutchfield, sounddomain.com should all carry a kit for your car.

Crutchfield will include everything you need for your car if you specify what your car is if your buy a cd player from them for free, plus they send your a detailed installation guide with pictures in it too help you with your install, plus they have a 1 800 number and a great warranty program to help you with any problems
