i'm new to this and was wondering.......what is the best battery to use for the following h/u:2 amps,fog lights,an alarm,and 2 tv's? i was told an optima yellow top but wanted a second opinion, because i'm installing all of this in 76 caddy and everything is power. thanx

Honestly????  

A battery is a battery is a battery. IMO, as long as you have the correct guage power wire and a cap you will do great with just about any battery.  You might find that you will eventually need to replace the alternator if your stock one does not keep up, this you would have to do even if you spent the money to buy an over priced battery.

thanx dean for the insight,but what kind of altenator (amps-wise) would you recemmend? 'cuz i would rather spend $$ now and get it right,than to spend here and spend it there.

check whats available around your area.  I tried to stick with around a 300 amp alternator with my big systems.
