I have an alpine cd/mp3 headunit and would like to mount the faceplate on my A pillar and the actual cd player in the glove box. I've seen this done before. I was wonder from those of you that have seen it done what type of wire they used to connect the faceplate and the unit. If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your help!

i would use something along the lines of 20guage lead wire and solder it on.  the only possible problem you might have is the distance from the glovebox to the a-pillar.  the signals might not make it as well.  putting the hu somewhere more close to the apillar would be a good idea.  maybe in the dash and cut a slit for the cd's.  sick of those pesky kids playing with your deck?

You can can also check with your local computer store and purchase some ribbon tape,  it's thin and easy to work with
