I have a 2004 chevy silverado with the audio controls on the steering wheel. I'm replacing my head unit with a Pioneer Premier deh-p860mp.  I want to know if this adapter will work for my application? Also i have already purchased the metra kit for the chime will this steering wheel audio adapter work with it? Will I still have all the same functions that I have now on the steering wheel like, mute, program, source, seek, and volume? HOw anyone ever used this? Is ti better than the infrered kits?

The REMPIOGM will connect to the steering wheel control wire in the vehicle and then plugs into the mini port of the Pioneer head unit. It is easier to install than the infrared units because you dont have to find a good place to install the infrared eye.

Thanks, does the 860 premier have the plug for this adapter?  Do you know where I can buy this adapter?
