I'm a newb with no formal training in car audio.  What are the big 3s?  I guess it has to do with grounding of some type and some of the things under the hood.  Any explanation would be great.  Thanks in advance.

Thanks, that was a great article.  I think I understood most of it.  I've never worked with vehicle power wiring before but if I follow these exact instructions I guess I should be ok and not fry myself or blow anything up.
